What stands behind the work

Five things you can check before we start

A badge only means something if you know what it covers. Here is what each one means for you.

  • Insured & bonded

General liability and workers' comp on file. A certificate goes to you before work starts.

  • Manufacturer-trained crew

Installers trained on the shingle, metal and tile systems we install, not learning on your roof.

  • Written workmanship warranty

25 years on our labor, in writing, transferable once if you sell the house.

  • Free inspection

Documented with dated photos. The report is yours to keep, whether you hire us or not.

  • Storm claim documentation

A photo report laid out the way adjusters read them: slope by slope, with measurements.

Insurance claims

What a hail claim actually looks like

We are a roofing contractor. Not your insurance company, and not a public adjuster. Here is the real sequence, and who does what at each step.

How a roof claim works, in detail
  1. Step 1: Free inspection and documentation

We inspect the roof and photograph any storm or hail damage, slope by slope, so you have a dated record before you talk to your insurer.

  2. Step 2: You file the claim

You contact your insurance company to open the claim. We walk you through what the inspection found so you know what to report.

  3. Step 3: Adjuster inspection

Your insurer sends an adjuster. If you want us there, we meet them on site and point out the damage we documented.

  4. Step 4: Your insurer decides

The insurance company reviews the claim and decides what is covered and what it pays. That decision is theirs alone. We are not a public adjuster and cannot negotiate it for you.

  5. Step 5: We do the work

Once you approve a written scope, we schedule the repair or replacement, clean up, and send photos of the finished roof.

Leak repair

We trace the water to where it gets in, usually flashing or a lifted shingle, and fix that, not just the stain.

Storm and hail damage

After hail, wind or a fallen limb: a documented check of every slope, plus the gutters, vents and flashing.

Materials

What we install

The right roof depends on the house, the budget and how long you plan to stay. We walk you through the trade-offs on the inspection, with prices in writing.

  • Asphalt shingle

What most homes here have. Architectural shingles with a high wind rating, in a range of colors. Impact-rated versions are worth asking about in hail country.

  • Metal

Standing-seam or ribbed panels that shed water fast and reflect summer heat. More up front, a much longer service life.

  • Tile

Concrete or clay for a Hill Country or Spanish look. Heavy, so we check the deck and framing first. Lasts decades with basic care.

  • Flat and low-slope

TPO or modified bitumen for patios, additions and low-pitch sections, laid with proper drainage so water does not sit.

Financing

What would it cost per month?

A new roof rarely waits for a good month. Move the slider to your estimate and pick a term to see a monthly figure, with the rate it assumes shown right under it.

Questions

Insurance and timeline questions

Does homeowners insurance cover hail damage to my roof?

Most standard homeowners policies cover sudden storm and hail damage, but the details vary from policy to policy. Your declarations page, or your agent, tells you what yours includes.

How long do I have to file a hail claim in Texas?

Many Texas policies ask you to report damage within about a year of the storm, but the window is set by your policy, not by us. Check your documents or ask your agent, and do not wait until the last month.

Will my premium go up if I file a claim?

That depends on your insurer and your policy. Only your agent or insurer can tell you how a weather claim affects your rate.

What is the difference between an insurance adjuster and a public adjuster?

An insurance adjuster works for your insurance company and assesses what it will pay. A public adjuster is licensed by the Texas Department of Insurance and is hired by a homeowner to negotiate a claim. We are a roofing contractor, not either of those, and we do not offer public adjusting.

Do I have to pay my deductible?

Yes. Your deductible is your share under your policy. Texas law makes it an offense for a contractor to advertise or promise to pay, waive or rebate it, and we do not.

How long does a roof replacement take?

Most replacements take one to three days, depending on the size and pitch of the roof, the material and the weather.

Will you work directly with my insurance company?

We can be on site when the adjuster inspects the roof and show the damage we documented. The claim itself, and every coverage decision, stays between you and your insurance company.

What if the adjuster's estimate looks lower than the damage?

You can ask your insurer for a re-inspection. We can give you our inspection photos and measurements to support that request. The decision stays with the insurer.
