How it works

Four steps, in this order

  1. Get the written scope first

The inspection gives you a price in writing. That number, not a guess, is what you finance.

  2. Apply with the lender

A third-party lender runs the credit check and sets the real rate and term. The application takes a few minutes online.

  3. Pick the plan that fits

Compare the monthly figure with the total you pay over the term. A longer term lowers the payment and raises the total.

  4. Work is scheduled

Once the loan is approved and you sign the scope, the crew goes on the calendar. Nothing starts before both.

Financing questions

What does “0% for 24 months” really mean?

On most promotional plans, no interest is charged if the whole balance is paid within the promo period. Many of these plans charge interest back to the first day if a balance remains when the period ends. Read that clause in the lender's offer before you sign.

Is the rate on this page the rate I will get?

No. The 9.99% APR is an assumption so the calculator can show a figure. Your lender sets your actual rate after a credit check, and it can be higher or lower.

Can I use insurance money and financing together?

Yes. When a claim covers part of the job, some homeowners finance only the rest, such as an upgrade to a metal roof. Your deductible is still yours to pay.

Does checking a rate affect my credit?

That depends on the lender. Many use a soft check for a first quote and a hard check only when you apply. Ask before you apply.
